Feedback on Composition Sequence Statement
- A bit less verbose
- Emphasize the relationship between the courses
- Integrate some materials concerning the role of research and secondary materials in the
- Should this be more optimistic, aspirational, less dogmatic.
Composition Website:
- Rob – it might make sense to add the pathways outcomes against our program outcomes. We’re supposed to have both sets on our syllabi.
- Emily: Is the syllabus for the student or to satisfy a bureaucratic need?
- Rob: The document should “live” on the Comp Site.
- Our decision to link the pathways outcomes (instead of listing them) should be our own.
Discussion of the Sequence Statement, Course Description, and Course Learning Outcomes
- Megan – these documents do different things for different people. Not every piece needs to do everything.
