PROMOTION & BUDGET
The P&B is the main functioning committee of our department. The work of hiring, scheduling peer observations, reviewing promotion, tenure, and sabbatical applications at the department level are some of this committee’s major responsibilities; it’s always chaired by the Department Chairperson.

COURSE REVIEW COMMITTEE
The CRC is the main committee for our composition sequence (English 12 and English 24). This committee is charged with defining course outcomes and curriculum guides for those courses as well as designing the mechanics of cross grading and much, much more! CURRICULUM COMMITTEE
Curricular work is an essential function of any academic department, and course- and program-level decisions should be made in a transparent and collective way. Our department has much curricular work to do in order to update our current offerings, propose new offerings, and design new programs of study (Liberal Arts concentrations and, perhaps, a major with different specializations).

NOMINATIONS COMMITTEE
The Nomination Committee, affectionately known as the Nom Com, facilitates all the in-house elections of our department.

LITERATURE COMMITTEE
The Literature Committee works to support new course proposals, to design brochures for students explaining our course offerings, and more.
